I thought the 210 would be stronger, it is a bit bigger. It sounds the Kubota is pretty strong though.

Backhoe on Kubota has bucket dig force of 7600lbs. The JD has 9600 lbs .

Can you people please explain to me how you are using the Kubota to "skid logs" out of the woods.

I use a draw bar (cheap) on 3 point hitch, chain log to 3 point lift and drive. If many small logs I use a dray, which is like a toboggan.

Definitely slacking.. Or too many hours at work!!

It really is hard in August, just because of heat, lawnmowing, etc etc

I use a "log hitch" on the 3 pt and chain. Works great. I've been able to skid some pretty big logs with just a compact utility tractor.

Yeah, too many hours at work, that's it.

    Nah, mostly slacking.

Still been collecting large rock for the crossover, I have yet to place the most recent load.

Since the crossing is usable as is for the ATV, I've distracted myself with tearing apart the trailer porch to make for tractor storage.

After I get that goal accomplished, then it will likely be back to rock placing.

Once temps get to a reasonable 60's to low 70's it will be time to get the chainsaw working some more.
    :saw::tree:

And, if all goes well I still have 5 or 6 pines to drop so I can work on the driveway expansion.
    :saw::tree::tractor:

Guess I better get back to work.

It’s been so hot and muggy I didn’t even put one hour on my tractor over the past 2 months. I believe the only thing I used it for was to unload the Fireview from the back of my truck. I’m hoping September will be better, but it’s not starting out that way. Looks like it’ll be humid until Friday at least. It’s gotta quit sometime right?

Ok well chaz thought that being labor day meant just that. I am guessing that he will be posting update with pics here. Started with over cast and temps low 70's. But mother nature had her own agenda.

While he was working on moving the old decking for the porch she thought it would be fun to give him a short light shower. Well she did that a few times.

So he has taken mother natures require time out. So he takes holly for a walk and I see him down toward the end of the driveway. Uh oh now what is he planning.

Well he has now dropped pine. He has cleaned off most of the branches and is now moving them up to the fire pit using the jaw. I know, I know it is a thumb
I like calling it a jaw lol

Ok it is about 84 with humidity and he has been in the sun a bunch.

Pics and further updates by him. Lol

Well, as mama said, since the porch demolition keeps getting sidetracked, I figured a little saw time was in order.

After mentioning the pines that need to come down, figured I'd tackle one while I could.

Cut the tree into 36" sections.

The standing one is an off size, it was the remainder in the equation.

    And the fun part..

    Another fire waiting to happen.

Not a bad afternoon at all.
But now I'm tired, sweaty, sticky, and stinky.
    :faint:

But the blue smoothies taste greeaaattt!!

Called the dealer to make sure they were open on Saturday, and then asked for a complete set of filters and complete fluid change. They had it boxed when I got there, so I paid, but as I was putting it in the car I noticed no inner air filter. Went back in and got one - he said most people don’t change them due to cost and they often aren’t working in bad dust.

Got home and discovered they gave me the wrong filters across the board. Called today, and they dropped off a replacement set here this evening. Turns out they gave me L-series instead of M-series. The only consolation is the M filters are less expensive!

I picked up a factory pre-packaged kit for the RTV-didn't have an engine oil filter but had a fuel filter for probably a 100+ hp tractor-much larger than the fuel filter on my Grand L.
Got a filter kit thrown in when I bought the L-made the parts guy go out and check each filter with me before I left with the tractor.

Third try is a charm? When we got back to the house from the cattle chores, there was another filter on the doorstep. They had told us one package had both hydraulic filters in it, but not so. Fortunately they double-checked, and then delivered the second one. One of their parts counter guys lives here in town and is great about saving us trips.

Didn't post anything yesterday as was too worn out from heat by the time I was done.

At one point I was sweating so bad, tried to smoke a cig and the butt was getting wet with sweat.
After that I told Chazsbetterhalf I was done for the week till the temps got better.
Been sitting in the AC today, doing not much.

Got the stump out and moved yesterday after work, and filled the hole in.
Still have excess soil for filling in the low areas when things settle, and some gravel for the top.
