What more could a firewood hoarder want than trees, trees, and more trees? And beautiful rivers, lakes, and ponds all over the place.

Wife and I were just talking about this recently...what if a tornado got into the 20+ cords I have CSS here?! Thousands of 10# projectiles! :jaw: :hair:

Heck, a Tornado can rip the asphalt off the highway and toss that around. It can pierce wood with straw. A pile of gravel can be a pile of projectiles.

It’s great when a plan comes together. You worked hard at it and got it done. Congrats!

Tried the Texas Roadhouse restaurant today. It was very good and the portions were too much for us to finish. Lunch for tomorrow! The sides were surprisingly great too. Thanks for the recommendation guys.

Although we did not even reach 70 degrees today, it was quite humid all day. Twas good if not working but once you started doing something the sweat could roll. Stop and you'd be reaching for a shirt. I rode the atv a mile to a neighbor's place and actually put on a heavy shirt first as it was rather cool riding today.

Also took the splitter back in the woods and set up to split. Maybe will get some of that done tomorrow.

The college I graduated from specifically got rid of a lot of garbage degrees. It made national news for doing that. It's a good thing. Stick to the core strengths of the college.

Yesterday the national weather service confirmed 9 tornadoes in SE Wisconsin. Now this afternoon, the NWS confirmed 16 tornadoes in SE Wisconsin.

Chris, are you in the area where all those hit?

If so, it sounds like you got lucky.

We just had a lot of rain and flooding around is, but no real issues at my house.

Here in the south the thermostat cuts the AC off , then turns it back on 20 minutes later.

Or pick up half of trees and throw them around, your cars, cows across the street, blow your neighbors shed or house apart and throw it at yours. It will pick up whatever it wants.

Nothing says" I'm here to party" like a tornado! Certainly sounds like a wild night out.

Per tornado's, when I was in Lubbock Texas I saw a pic in the paper of a trailer (aka tornado magnets) that was picked up, flipped over, and put back down on the concrete pad nearly perfectly.
    :bug:

Was a crazy thing to think about.
    :loco:

    Fortunately no-one was inside.

As a forester I have worked on several salvage timber sales after tornados around here. Some were whole hill sides coming out of the river bottoms, and some were perfect swaths 30 yards wide snapping or twisting off every tree in its path, leaving ones right next to it untouched. Picking up and setting right back down. Tree tops twisted off weighing several tons , that were thrown 50 yards away. Crazy power, so random in some of the movement. Show up and dissappear just as abruptly .
