Found this near where I plan to sit my ground blind. There is actually three clumps like the two in the photo. I kicked the top off the one to try and see what he had been eating and sho the depth better. Looks like a from a larger animal just not sure.

Sorry about that. I HAD to go BAD!

That doesn't look like deer. And it appears to be vegetable matter.

Do you have wild/ feral hogs?

I thought we would at least see a classic Eric VW "smell test" request, or the ubiquitous rottiman " no chit" post.

I have noticed that bucks seem to go from the classic pellets to clumps to almost the runs in late summer into September. Maybe a hormone change with their antlers maturing? I don't think a diet change is the cause as does seem to not show any changes. Just my humble observations/thoughts.

I’ll second that! It’s true around here always thought there was a bear around but it’s just the deer.
Looking like a good place for that blind CoreyB

We have a large Hispanic community one town over. So that is possible. One place has some pretty awesome Taco's and enchiladas.

It's kind of hard to judge the size but I've seen many of whitetail deer droppings that look like that. From the things that I've read it's usually only the bucks that squeeze out the clumps like that. Regardless put up your blind there and hope for the best.
