I've recently come into some lovely red oak. Cleaning up a red oak I got a few nice saw logs and I will have a ridiculous amount of wood left after that for firewood. However, I was wondering if there might be uses other than lumber and firewood. For example, on bottom end I left a 4 foot by 32+" "stump." I hate to see that go to waste. Would it be worth while to noodle out some big blocks for wood turners? Any other thoughts?
Well, do sheep yield wool? Heck yeah, for any wood turners in your network of friends or even a few excellent members here.... I say saw out a few blocks!
