Good morning fellow hoarders! I was perusing the local CL and found this Pacific Energy wood stove for sale (link posted below). I have enquired about it but have not heard back if it is still available. I was wondering, if it is available still, would this be worth pursuing? I was thinking of either keeping it to heat my garage someday or cleaning it up to resell. I thought the price was okay even though it is an older stove (looks like it was manufactured in 1993). A few more questions... I am unsure what model this is and thought someone here would be able to tell. Also, do you think it would be worth investing the time to clean it up at this price? After doing some online research it seems PE makes great stoves. Any and all opinions/input is appreciated Wood stove
Don't know the model, but I would go take a close look at that price. Gaskets, brick, linkage, ect. But I only know in my area, that stove cleaned up would sell for 500 easy. Setup proper, and you would have one hot garage. It is mobile home approved also. Easier to get rid of, or trade for corn liquor. Let us know
Do you find deals like that all the time on craigslist? I ask because seattle is a screaming place to pick up deals. My dad had to live out there at one time. The deals he would find at yard sales was beyond belief. He found a almost mint 75 ford camper special, custom something for 200 bucks. Battery and gas was all it took to drive it home is what I remember him telling me. How big is your garage? Looks like a big firebox, though sometimes the outside is deceiving.
No not all the time. Every once in a while you can stumble upon one though. I'm in central PA. I've always heard of people finding great deals at yard sales around here though too. Auctions are another good place to try if you're looking for tools cheap.
