Good work there! I admit, I thought this was going to be a "first fire of the season" thread. I like the shots of the splits better while it's still August. :)

Looks like another 5-6 loads to split out of this pile. These rounds have been stacked for just over a year. Figure its time to get them finished off. I have tomorrow with nice temps. After that we go back to the heat. Again......

40 this morning here, I am starting to wonder if we might have the first fire in August! We had our last one on July 5. But 2 weeks ago we were hitting 105-108, several days in a row. :headbang:

Is this what they mean by climate change - it changes every day?

Lucky you, I'd wish we had those Temps. Then again when you get down below zero not sure I'd like that to much.

I just checked the highs and lows recorded since I installed the new thermometer in July ... High of 109, low of 39. Crazy.

Not yet in the 40's here but the last couple of nights have been close. We've even closed up most of the house at night. Last night I even got up to put another blanket on the best. Love it!

On the dark side though, they are forecasting either a 3 or 4 day heat wave starting Sunday. On the good side, we know we'll constantly have warm ups but they will not be so long lasting and not as hot....hopefully.
