The beam cracked where the cylinder attaches. I guess after 40plus years it got stressed out.

Right where I want to be.
I was pretty stressed at 40 years too. However, I didn't crack.
    Like TD says....got a welder?

I see older tractors all the time that have been welded up from cracks. Welded it up and you will be good to go.

    That's what I thought.
I would contact the Manufacturer (Dad) but he passed away in 1983.
The beam, wedge and hyd. tank are the only original parts, replaced engine, hyd. pump, cylinder a few years ago (about 20),
Guess I will have to get it welded may consider a new beam.
    Or maybe a new splitter!

Well JC, around 42 is when I began to get stressed out so perhaps this is the critical time.

If it can be straightened it can be welded.
