    Awesome news this morning. We went for a walk, drove to our next favourite restaurant for breakfast (short drive for this one) and came back to an excavator pulling the trees down in the front of our property. I guess someone has bought the lot and is going to build. We get our view back. :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: The new building will not be high enough to block the view and will keep the alders from growing up. The building will be fun to watch as well this winter if they start on it soon.

    Prayers for a coworker
    so I’ll just put here that Fire Flake and I are traveling to NC this evening to go to her favorite cousin’s funeral tomorrow. :confused:

    A tail of horror....

    Things to know: We have always been (No Contract) and will never sign up for auto payment with any internet provider. I did not give them any details of why or where we where going for service but simply said Id like to cancel to every question.

    Canceling internet service with our provider.

    Day 1: call and get put on hold for 1.5 hours after I said I would like to cancel.
    Conclusion = They where trying to get me to give up and keep them.

    Day 2: Same thing as day one.

    Day 3: I had enough and got into a heated argument with them because they refused to close the account by repeatedly offering me a different service plan and price. They said hang on until you hear all our offers first and flatly refused to close the account. I ran out of time to argue and hung up.

    Day 4: Put on hold immediately when I called ( They knew what account I am. )

    Day 5: I got a call at 1325 when they know I am working and will be the most pizzed ( because that makes sense ) I was told I owed them money and they couldnt close the account because of the contract. My response was I do not have and never have had a contract with you and do not owe you money this is not up for debate I do not have time to argue with you close the account.

    Day 5-2: I called when I got home and recieved a slew of offers again to which I said close the account at this point I am considering legal advice if you do not. They crapped themselves and said even if we offer you free service off contract for a year you wont stay and I said no close the account. They finally did.....

    I also had to listen to them talk over me very loudly and rudely about how horrible all our other local providers are....

    This should be criminal.

    Seldom hear anyone say they are happy about trees being pulled down in front of their home, or that building a house in front of you will improve your view. I can see in your circumstance how that is true. I am surprised that the first you find out about it is when the trees are being taken down. I wonder if that will also help discourage wild mountain lions from visiting you dogs again. I still am horrified just thinking about that. Greatful it wasn't a kid that lion went after. Glad to hear campinspecter is doing better.
