Is the parking brake a hand lever that can be engaged while pressing the brake pedal?

No, it's foot activated, which is good I guess because I have to literally stand on it.

Different setup than mine, ill need to look to see how mine engages and report back.

Really important safety component, hopefully we can get it worked out. As an extra precaution when applicable, I keep the bucket down for added safety. The parking brake is weak even on the slightest hill. I can imagine if an unknowing operator was switching the front implements, there could be a danger of the tractor rolling on them.

Yeah, I'll definitely be getting this fixed ASAP

Climbed on once, and accidentally stepped on reverse pedal, that coulda been a BAD day had I not made sure it was engaged prior to leaving the machine.

If your parking brake is that weak, your breaks probably need adjusted. On both of my Kubotas, the brakes were not adjusted right when new, but they had no problem holding the tractor. If you leave the brake on now and try to move you know it instantly.

Been there, done that. Not cool. I think this is the reason that Kubota recommends getting on/off only on the left side.

Thx eatonpcat i was/am extremely stoked to get the deal we did on this tractor.

Yeah, I drive it nice n slow. The center of gravity is a fair bit higher than I'm used to, or would prefer.

Ugh! Last load of stones tonight and I managed to knock the front tire off the rim. These things happen when you run a CUT through wood with lots of boulders. I'll put the tire back soon enough. I hope it does not rain overnight. Lesson learned: Check the tire pressures every time you use your machine. I'm pretty sure this tire was low on pressure to start with and running it with a loader full of gravel through uneven woods was not the smartest decision I've ever made. TractorTireOff.jpg
