Splitting 50 cords is quite an undertaking.:hair:

Glad you stuck to your guns.. Too bad you didn't get in there earlier to get the 20k he paid to have them dropped... Don't know the whole situation but sounds like he didn't shop around the job to someone who could have done it much cheaper and as a result wants to take advantage of someone else... That Ash will keep you going for a while... Let him know that your offer stands (whatever you decided it was) until the wood starts to rot away. Then the offer is withdrawn.... GIBIR!!!!

At least in my area, theres way too much available free wood to make even a 2 to 1 deal worthwhile, never mind 50-50. Sorry you got taken dude, lotsa luck finding someone to return the favor to!

I never buy wood, but four cords of ash for $100 already cut to a length that works for you is something I definitely wouldn't pass up on! Though....18" does not work for me lol.

He is trying to recoup some of his loss. I would not take that at all.

Good for you on getting that ash. That is some good burning firewood.

Like others have mentioned the rest of the story is this fellow, is out a bunch of money on felling those trees and now wants to make up some of his losses on your sweat.
You would think that the clean up you would be doing by hauling a lot of that wood away is a big favor.
    Oh well.
