Thanks amateur cutter! I must say I'm actually looking forward to colder temps this year.....I have always been a summer guy but this site has gotten me to appreciate the colder temps.

 

The year should only be 9 months long. Just cut out June, July and August.

 

I started another burn in fire Sunday night (sorry no pics this time). There was no smoke coming off the paint. So were ready to drag the old smoke dragon out and put this guy in

Quick question though, it didn't seem to be pulling much air in. Am I correct to just assume this was because it was outside with only about 6 feet of stove pipe on? The temperature was probably in the 80s and it was overcast/muggy. I checked the wood I was burning (Ash) with a MM before it went in. It was reading between 17-20%. When I would lower the air the flames would really die down/go out. With the air open wide there was no smoke but when I cut the air supply it would smolder and smoke. I'm hoping once it is actually hooked up to the new ss liner it will draft fine.

you won't get much draft in that kind of weather

yes, and the colder (and clear) it is outside, the better the draft

So I was doing some browsing on the local CL (can't hurt to look right?) and found this PE for sale. They're asking $200 OBO. I can't tell what model it is though and figured someone here may know.

Not sure on the model but it appears to be a 1993. Oooooold unit! May be a good one however.
