    That is some pretty, dense wood!! I don't remember the hickory's around here being that dark in the middle.

    Bitternut hickory is the species. Great great firewood , but takes two years to dry.

    Yep, it's a beast, just the power head weighs almost 25 Lbs.

    That is a nice saw especially for cutting that hickory, but I'd hate to wrestle that beast for 8 hours! That is out of my category now for sure.

    I'd be curious to know what one of those logs weigh.
