If you could get them to pluck themselves, it'd be helpful.

damm chickens pecked at the roosters waddles for some reason today! :headbang:

Came home to a blood bath! Got the roo cleaned up, some peroxide and hoping for a better tomorrow. I think it was because they were in the run all day yesterday, but it was raining so I never bothered letting them out.

On another note, we've got a chit ton of frog eggs on the pond. Garden exploding with goodies and been spraying home made organic chit to keep the jap beetles off the damm beans, cauliflower, and broccoli. Seems to be working.

Not to get off topic, but what's the recipe for "Homemade Organic Chit"? Vegetable oil, dawn soap, red pepper? The Japanese Beatles decimated me this year. I sprayed and sprayed and sprayed and it rained and rained, and rained, and they just keep coming. Once the chicks start picking on another it's hard to control. Maybe have to separate them for a while. Or another project,  build an extra coop for separation and new baby chicks when needed.

I've been doing this with success, but I keep treating after rain.

Goats are awesome! We have 2 Nigerian Dwarf does, 1 Nigerian Dwarf buck and 1 Pygmy doe that are all full grown. We had our second litter of kids this spring and kept three does and sold the bucks. 2 of them are full blooded Nigerians and one is a pygmy Nigerian cross. Unfortunately we had to sell all of the kids last year due to repairs for the wife's car. Hopefully we will be having more kids born in a few months.

Man you want to talk about pure entertainment. Have a bunch of goat kids running around. They are hilarious!

It's something we're seriously considering. We may wait awhile. There are things I need to get built first, that's for sure. I'll definitely have questions beforehand! :)
