campinspecter once said that if he had realized how much attention puppies get from women, he would have always had a dog with him when he was a teenager.

I found this on Bentley today. First time I've noticed it. He's 6.5 years old. He not sensitive in that area by touch, and it's not a bug bite (external). Its internal whatever it is. 20180725_210937.jpg

Trying real hard to be positive right now. Gonna call the vet tomorrow and make an appt.

You are doing the right thing to get it checked. At least you will know what to watch out for. Peace of mind is worth a lot.

Most likely this - I've seen Labs (and Lab x's) with huge tumors and another Lab that became affectionately known as "Lumpy", because he had so many. Unless it/they start affecting movement, usually they are just left alone.

Always good to consult a vet though, just to make sure.

Same thing here. Oliver! has one big one, Apple sized in his rear leg pit, that appeared first about four years ago, he has since developed 20-30 more all over his body, like TurboDiesel said as long as they are loose and you can move it around it's likely no big deal. The vet may want to aspirate some of the cells, stain them and take a look under a scope to confirm that it is just adipose (fatty) tissue.

A neighbor gave me some liquid melatonin supplement for Blackie's panic during storms, I gave him one drop and it appears it worked better than benedryl! (fingers crossed, as the storm was moving on by then), this is the first time in weeks his scalp was not tense and furrowed above his eyes. This is only the first dose so I'll try it again next round of storms tomorrow afternoon and see if it works as well again. How miserable to be terrified several hours every afternoon for several weeks a summer poor lil thing.

It's just awful when they suffer like that. It's miserable for us too. Benedryl helps but it just dumbs him down. Fingers crossed on this. I haven't tried it but a neighbor gave my mother of Bach's rescue remedy for her last dog, said to rub a drop or two on his ear and she said it helped his separation anxiety.
