I didn’t realize how dry we were until the three or four days of rain didn’t raise the reservoir over the spillway. Even the river it feeds from the bottom of the reservoir is down to a couple inches deep. The trout ain’t likin' it.

The smaller of two rivers here is way low. This dam was bone dry. But it started flowing over the dam again yesterday or today. This was today on my run.

    Been there, done that.
Only when the power goes out.
2 or 3 "keg" style buckets collect a LOT of water.

Born and raised. Lots of family and friends so no surprise he wants to go back. I don't like it but I'm biased against Cali. It's not the same place I grew up in.
He'll move to Sac., near my sister.

just look at that Vista now. With the horses, the pasture, and the pond surrounded by the woods. Fantastic.

Ummm, have you had any search and rescue crews or choppers swing by?

3 fires in a triangle is a universal sign of SOS.

Good on ya for burninating the root piles though:)

After the rain and after he played his soccer game. My son worked with my neighbor to get every last pile burning.:handshake:Great job by them! Took them a while to get several of them going because of all the rain! I’ll pick up around them after work if I have enough energy. Throw everything into the centers and try to get them as cleaned up and burned up as I can before the rain comes again overnight. Possible heavy rain in the morning as well. So whatever doesn’t burn is going to get soaked. After things dry up I’ll dig some holes with the M59 and bury whatever I can’t get burned up.

Might be heading out west next month for a week or so.

Hopefully, Yellowstone 1st choice; Black Hills 2nd....(but after the rally!)

Sturgis rally. 10 days of overpriced chaos.
Deadwood is a better place to hang out, after the rally is through. Nice country, lots to see.

Yeah, you couldn't pay me to go to the Sturgis rally. Now, I've actually been to the New Hampshire rally. Had a good time too.

One of my visiting coworkers and I took two of my customers to The Capital Grille last night. $900 of seafood, steak, sides, and wine. Fat and happy for sure....but a lil hungover this morning.
