Weather was just stellar after work tonight so I went up on the hill to grade down some trails. Before After Further back same trail. Can't stress enough how much a waterbar, even a simple one can help keep from rutting. Same hill looking up Further still back the trail. It actually goes up the hill back there but I didn't have time to mess with it tonight. I find this method great for getting leaves and sticks and whatnot off the trail. Once you start to get a pile, it acts like a broom. Far more effective than cutting edge. Pushing backward in pic. My old buddy rode shotgun today. Cleaned it up a bit as it was looking neglected. Only had an hour and a half to work. Had to fire the saw once to clear a small blowdown. I wish we had more mild weather like this during summer. Humidity was low and mid 80s. Heck the bugs weren't even too bad.
Still waiting on my unit. The BH77 had to be shipped from the factory.... Today is the 3 week mark. Patience is a virtue though right? I have an ever growing list of chores to complete as soon as it arrives. Probably hit 10 hours in no time!
Thanks. I am quite proud of my trail system. It got a little neglected last fall, so trying to get everything back in good shape. The rain we have been getting has been hard on my water diversions. Seems like only downpours this year...no regular showers.
Yes it is and has filled in nicely. I was moving a 12ft pile of various sized rotted logs the previous owner left. I waited so long for this project because of how wet it was down there. After moving em, the ruts i left were chitty. Dawn did say she wouldn't mind a pond, so i started digging one end and finally 4 hours later there was a basin. There appeared to be a small spring there, water clear in that area. The soil is good to hold everything in, and as far as overflow, ill cross that bridge when I come to it. The muddy pond...... all loader work
Was thinking about you Orange guys today. While I was checking out an L4701 and a MX4800 and MX5200!!!! I think I’m going to have to hold of for a bit but one of those will be my choice!
The MX series are awesome units. If I had more property, bigger side jobs, and a bigger garage, I would have been on the MX5200. The implements on that series are Heavy Duty! My Implements finally arrived at the dealer - should have a shiny new tractor at my house early next week. Just waiting for them to install the subframe and load the tires.
Kubota at rest. He\She (not yet sure of the gender) arrived today. Sad to say it's a rainy day and I was up at 1am for work so tonight is a resting night. At least the eagle has landed.
All my equipment are females, that way I can work my charm on them when the get ornery. Your girl is very pretty.
