    Still a lot of variables.

For that matter, they used a 2009 frame. If I was going to to that to a truck, I'd use a brand new one as a donor. That's still a used trans, driveshaft, frame, axles and suspension. That's going to wear out long before a 4.8 or 5.3 does. Rebuilding all that to really do it right, considering the 2009 was clearly a higher end model, would probably be a similar total cost as buying a new, or at least almost new, base model.

I haven't heard that!! Still cant beleive it!!

My v6 Ram1500 has the v6 . I use it in and out if the woods a lot and off road and in muddy places. I don't tow or haul anything with it. But for my application of often times longer road distances to follow loggers into the woods go around off road sometimes 20 miles or more in a trip off pavement and then back on its a very good truck. Plenty fast for interstate, has decent grunt off road and in low. I did find some free red oAK on some of our property that the power company cut into rounds to get it out of the ROW after it took out their line. For the little I put in there, not stacked and not even 80% or so of bed covered it squatted like 3 inches. And that wood was only like 12"s in diameter! It would probably be a dog with much trailer behind it but if you just tow 20 or 50 miles to the lake every now n then I am sure it would fit most of today's truck owners which is what there shooting for for most of these new half tons now a days.

Haha, funny how that goes. Go I've to the Ford forums and you'll hear a ton of people talking about the 4.6 the exact same way. Agree on the 10th gens but afterwards the 4.6 at least had the reliability edge.

I guess it was coming. Same displacement as the smallset f-150 engine though. Honestly I'd rather the 4cyl if I was choosing between 2 unproven engines.

    I mean, most semi's are 6 cyl........

    I don’t think many liked the 305.

Have you tried out the radio wildwest ? Hopefully it will pick up stations without a booster..[/QUOTE]I haven't, sorry, last week was busy here! I think I'm going to pay someone to install it, fashion a trim kit for it, and put the bundle of wires where they belong. I have no doubt it will pick up stations, I have an antenna on my hood.

I just wanted to see a good game. And it was more exciting than many soccer games. Neither real favorite. Of the two I wanted France to win though. Croatia was impressive through the whole WORLD CUP though. Enjoyed watching them play tough.

They are super strict with the wild horses out here and enforce it.

Bit one in the butt here a few years ago and was actually downright heartbreaking. It went lame, was stuck between fenced properties, and died there. Carcass froze and was hard to drive by everday. I called everywhere after we realized it was there in the same place a couple days in a row because it was lame, and all the authorities said "Federally Protected", hands off, no type of human intervention in anyway, even mercy. I finally decided to bring her water at night, poor thing was dead when we got there. I still wonder if WWW or a neighbor put it out of it's misery.....

Blaze had a 305 (302? I get them mixed up) until 2008, worked well towing the llamas, or trash dumpster, or whatever. We did go 350 this last engine though, if I had known they would screw it up I would have done another rebuild on the 305. But, hindsight.
