    Is it bad that I'm sitting here trying to enjoy the peace of my porch, while hoping for some sort of fireworks related accident for either of the neighbors that are currently setting off a chitton of them?

    Between yesterday and today I finished up splitting and stacking my shoulder wood for 20-21. Box elder and poplar. Nice working in the woods in the shade with low humidity. Temps in the 80's weren't all that bad.

    Just got back from friends fireworks. Nice show!:thumbs:

    So my new to me Kubota tractor had some minor issues that they are attending too.

    I bought it site unseen. I have done this before, several times, with no problems. And when I spend this much money on a machine I expect it to be right, aesthetically and mechanically.

    It did not look as nice as it did in the pictures from their website. More sun faded, Rear right fender had a bend in it. Some lights didn’t work. etc. I wasn’t happy. I told the transporter to not unload it and I called the guy I bought it from right away.

    He is being good about it. He apologized and offered a nice financial discount along with fixing all the problems. The discount will help me out so accepted it that day with his promises to fix everything.( including new fender)

    After I had a chance to run it I also found a leak. Appeared to be hydraulic. So I told him I needed this leak fixed ASAP, and that I did not want to be working on it right after I bought it, and they should just take care of everything at once. So he said they would come and pick it up soon and get it taken care of. (The tractor runs like a top and performs nicely.)

    Them coming to pick it up at that time created a problem because I was starting my vacation and had all kinds of tractor work planned. So I said to him that I had waited a long time to get my tractor after I paid them and now they had to take it and fix it. I knew they had all kinds of equipment (they are a big outfit), and asked him if he could lend me a mini Excavator for 2-3 days while they fixed my tractor. I explained to him I had a lot of digging to do and it would really help me out. ( And I would pay s few hundred for transportation cost.) And he said alright.

    When they brought the mini and took my tractor I asked him in a text if I should have mini ready to go back in 2 days? 3 days? He said they would not take it back until my tractor was done. I have not heard from them in a week.

    Hopefully all works out well. He seems like he is trying to make things right.

    Sorry about the novel. :picard::emb:

    WWW did the same, one we bought several years ago and did not end up installing, though it's been moved in the box many many times. Worked after installing today, but bulb popped immediately after turning the power back on (candelabra bulb from the fan box, we don't have a replacement that size on hand), then he used the fan for a nap. Now, the fan does not work. Pfffft. we turned the breaker to that part of the house off.
    :rofl: :lol:

    We just walked down by the lake. I got pretty nostalgic remembering the paddle boats, the ferris wheel, and the kiddee rides on the opposite side of the lake. At least there were some Canada geese. My son got pecked by an ostrich there when he was 2 and a half, made an indelible memory.

    HOLY COW! I haven’t had a run like this for years. One of the rotaries stopped turning with cows on it. It took from 9pm till 1330 to get it spinning again! The electrical swivel in the center went bad and had to be replaced. In short I did the regular day of work then got called in and worked all night into the next day. By the time I got to bed it was 42 hrs! o_O

    Caffeine going in. I’m not feeling like moving very fast this morning. I only had 2 beers last night before dinner so it’s not that. I think sitting in this Excavator for 8-10 hours for the last 6 days is getting on my nerves. I have only gone running once in the last week.o_O
