I get a kick out of the singing chickens on the Muppets and Elmo. I think it's WeldrDave that cracks up too?

Another beautiful weather day. We are slowly making up for all that crappy weather we had earlier this year!

:yes:Absolutely perfect comfort level here.....until Monday when “summer” temps return :hair::dennis:

Sharpened Fire Flake ‘s push mower blade, pressure washed the underside of the mower deck, weed eated, swept the bluestone off the street back into our driveway (I don’t know what that woman does with the clutch and gas..... ), replaced the dead ceiling fan in our bedroom, trash run, weeded one of the flower beds, shoot, I don’t know what all else..... kinda felt like a mild lukem day

    :D

It was very nice, I'd never been ( since 1986 with the rides and animals). The playground was great, quite challenging. IMG_20180707_21900.jpg

Very nice. I still have the Mini Excavator and have been working 8-10 hours a day with it. They still have not returned my tractor so I’m using it because it’s all I’ve got. I need to take some down time with wife and kids this week so I’m hoping they return my tractor beginning of week. I am clearing another area now by pulling stumps and burying big rocks. Getting tons of work done with it. I am now tired of digging stumps and rocks. But so glad I’m getting this work done!

Got a lot of splitting & cutting done today. :saw::axe:

Only thing not cut is yesterday's scrounge of poplar.

Weather was great, still poured out some sweat though. Beer O'clock, shower time, then dinner.

The right size Excavator with a thumb is real fast.

I told the guy who lent me this one, while they have my tractor, that some tme when they have one a little bigger up in this area late summer/fall to let me know. I will rent it from him. This is a 4.5 ton size but a 6-9 ton size would be quicker with that much more strength/weight.

I really like running an excavator. I have run several sizes over the years for a few days at a time. I once ran a Kamatsu PC 150 on this very property years ago while helping my Dad dig the pond bigger, deeper, and then connect it with the swamp that we also dug out. That must have been 25 years ago. A project with my father I will never forget. He had a J.D. 310A 4x4 Loader Backhoe, a Small Caterpillar Bulldozer, and a single axle Ford dump truck. They were all used, older equipment but ran good and they were his. A nice selection of work horses!

The rented Excavator was like this.

It could fill his single axle Ford dump truck with four buckets. o_O:thumbs:

Similar in size to this one.

Most certainly, which is why I qualified it as “mild”....:salute:

In younger years I would have gladly kept up alongside of you....but since many of my lower back disks are in the shape they are, I have to take smaller bites at things....:D
