Im in need of a log catcher that can mount up to my huskee splitter. This is a splitter that I got from my late brother that I've had to do a bit of work to get it back in action. Push come to serve I may just weld something up but any ideas would be great.

TSC keeps them in stock locally. IIRC $49
If it's an older style they may be able to order one. You could fab one up pretty quick and just weld it on. Make sure it curves up a little or it will hit the tire in the horizontal position!

If you can’t find the one for your splitter you may be able to drill new holes in one meant for another brand. Pallet Pete just got one for his Dirty Hand Tools:

    It arrived this morning!

I believe that the ones at TSC are direct bolt for your splitter. I don’t know the price on them but I’ve seen them on the shelf.

Mine were direct bolt, but the top two attachments didn't last long (drilled and tapped holes in beam cradle). One bolt broke off the other fell out. The table was a little light weight for my style of splitting. Plan on just welding the table legs and adding a couple extra struts to reinforce the table.
It's hard to see but I added the leg that is welded to the lower beam flange

Here is the original unmodded table
the two bolts through the web of the beam are fine but the top two bolt holes were drilled and tapped and the table came with bolts that were about 3/8" long. I knew they wouldn't last long when I put them in...

I was looking at those, but while researching seen that my model splitter must be an earlier model. Does not have the rounded edge on top of beam. Dont see why that should hold me back. Not that bad of a little splitter. My old man and brother ran alot of wood through it. My other splitter is a beast. That was my dad's homemade one. Re-vamped it a few tears back.

    Good!
My neighbor has the older style. Before the "cradle" design. I used his a lot before I bought mine. I actually think I prefer the older flat beam style. (The cradle works just as good until you get down to the 6-8" splits, then the splits will get down between the cradles and when the wedge pushes forward, it will smash the pieces out under the rounded rail and the pieces will get jammed or kinda torn on the sides. I learned to hold those smaller pieces up off the cradle to prevent the jamming.)
It appears this one is in stock at TSC (at least it let me add it to my cart). Should fit the older style.

That's good to know, the newer splitters are very similar to the tsc brand county line beams with the cradle design.

Speeco, Huskee and County Line are the same. All made by Speeco. Although I was wondering if the latest TSC models are made by Speeco cause they look completely different.

When I picked up my brother's little splitter noticed that the tank had been damaged at the pivot point. Finally got around to patching the tank up, and went through the motor and got it running.

For my table I welded on some square tubing like a receiver hitch. Will come off easily that way when needed.
