We hit 98° here the other day, only to be chased the next day with TORRENTIAL rain and flooding, the storms we had yesterday afternoon/evening dumped close to 3-4" of rain in an hour around some locations here in central PA....

We have been having those kinds of temps, too.
....but here humidity is usually between 5-20%.
    It's a dry heat.

It's been either high 80's or mid 90's here. Not expected to cool much until Friday and it will be very welcome when it comes.

Not sure when the heat will let up here. Some summers, we don't get a hot spell at all. A few days in the 80s is more normal. Now we have this 90++ stuff. Predicted through the weekend anyway. We get what comes up the coast and what comes from the west. Normally going to the coast will cut 10 to 15 degrees. That is about a 30 min drive.

Going to be a hot one here today for the 4th festivities. In the 90's with heat index close to 100. Pool water was 85 yesterday, I say bring it while we can. Shows 78 by Friday.
    Happy Independence day all

That was about an hour before the severe rain and hail and flooding.

Guess we were the lucky ones , Scott...
