That's the back end of a Havahart trap covered in roofing rubber. The open end is pointed at the deck, where the critters were living. I don't have a pic of them caught. ~sigh~ They were transported elsewhere and released. I know, I know.. What the law don't know, won't hurt them. Noticed the trap was tripped in the morning. released/reset - a few hour later, number two stumbled in. They were released in the same spot.. Maybe they found each other, or, maybe they were lunch for some other critter.
I’ve got a family of a few around here... I think there’s a mom and four or five young ones... about time I start thinning the herd.... maybe with some time off... I’ll get my aim trued up...
I was eating out of the neighbor’s garden when I saw a pie in a cage. I woke up the next day 100 miles away from home!
Around here the farmers believe there are 5 or 6 for everyone you see. Last year we shot 23. After seeing 3 or 4. Have gotten 8 so far this year. Still have signs of new activity around the barns on my sons place.
55 gallon drum full of water, rope tied to cage.... Lower down into water....bubbles cease after a moment. Saves lead, very quiet.
