Another day of drama at work. People are leaving left and right. Word must have got out that I'm on the market so they gave me a raise. I'll admit my decision to stay or go just got more difficult.

Anywell, going to ponder it over a bourbon or two this evening. I do my best thinking that way.

Pay isn’t worth the BS in most cases... Personal experiences there... Most of the time if your not happy at work your not happy at home. I’ve known few who could separate the two even if they thought they could or think they did everyone else sees it.

I’ll add that things tend to work out better than you expect them too with time. My job hunt was grueling and I jumped ship 2 times for various reasons but have been very happy with this job, pay and employer and it is far better than what I was doing for 12 years. I didn’t see the difference until after the dust settled and reflecting on the past vs current situation.

Separation for self preservation is sometimes a good thing other times it just takes the wake up call for an employer to step up and show they want you to stay and for them to change their ways.

Good luck either way Lukem  it’s never an easy choice.

    Happy birthday sir!

My wife and I have decided to celebrate ours later too.....like after the kids move out.

My stepdaughter has the same birthday as me, so mine hasn't been a very big deal for the last 13 years....not that I really care though.

We did have a party once at night after the kids party. Might have been her 4th ot 5th birthday. Several people coming for my party that night were confused by the bounce house.

Build a tree house underground hidden behind a waterfall on the first dirt road to the left.

Breakfast with Dad this morning. Caffeine going in. Looks like we may get a little more rain today as well. Yesterday turned out well. We were all able to get some work done in the morning and early afternoon and then the rain started. So I lit a big bonfire we had prepped throughout the morning. Got a bunch of sticks, logs, and stumps burned up. Good job done.

If you didn't like the job to begin with, extra pay will only make you happier for a short time. If you liked the job but not the pay, then that is a different story.
