When we fish for ling cod, the first thing you do is catch a bunch of small sand dabs (flounder) for live bait. That fishing is dead on the bottom and if the boat is drifting at all you occasionally snag a starfish or sea cucumber. They put up a tremendous fight and all stars are carefully revived from the struggle and released to fight again! metalcuttr

Momma loon teaching her baby to fish for himself. We watched these 2 for a while. They never dove for a long time.

I rescued this cecropia moth from the river. It was upside down flopping around, probably moments away from being lunch for a fish. It dried it's wings off very quickly and flew away in about 2 minutes.

Here’s a question for the fishing boaters of the group. I’m interested to see what everyone has for rod holders as far as storage while fishing and on the road. We always end up propping rods up off to the side and we are always tripping over them and even worse stepping on them.! Pictures are good here!!:binoculars:

Spent 5 hours on the lake today.

Very nice and quiet, unless you were anywhere near my boat. I had the tunes jamming. I replaced the non Bluetooth head unit with one that had has bluetooth. Much better, no more cords. IMG_20180719_124154945.jpg

Help wiring fishfinder on transom bar to inboard engine batteries if you can? What do we need to for extension wires, these are too short.

Just find more similar wiring to that. Ideally you want marine wire which is tinned, but regular wire will work.
