    The Wichmann engine arrived Wednesday. Mystic Seaport is focusing on only USA made equipment, and didn't want this Norwegian engine on display any longer. Great for us, as its a running engine.

    I'm taking 5mg and can usually feel the effects within 5 min. That's why I take them as I go to bed.

    I find myself closing my eyes anytime I stop, or am a passenger in the car. I am anxious to take a nap or to go to bed at night.

    Well the first time I took a 5 I damm near went down it didn't do anything of benefit for me and the doc wanted to go to 10 I told him noway as my BP went low on both sides. We made changes on the beta blocker and my BP responded. Tried to drop back to 2.5 but the change in the beta blocker confused things so we didn't end up going back now when we went to 40mg from 30mg on the Lisinopril (different doctor) only the diastolic reading changed by getting lower. Maybe we can go to 30mg on the Lisinopril or to 2.5 on the amplodime it is the low diastolic that I believe is my current trouble causer. I would like to go to 2.5 I am not a fan of ccbs.

    Who doesnt understand naps? Me and my wife love naps. For over 10 years. just have an issue finding the time.

    Naps used be a sometimes thing now I make a point of having one, it is a side effect of several of the meds I take and it feels good to close my eyes and have the dizzies stop. The boss doesn't take all the meds I do so she has no reference point.

    20 mgs hydrochlorothiazide,40 mgs lisinopril.No side effects for me that I can tell.BP is still a little on the high side but not to bad.I need to lose some weight.

    It is usually the blockers especially the beta blockers that start things, beta blockers decrease ticker rate, which leads to being more tired and cold, thus maybe naps and things not responding the same way. Alpha-blockers increase smooth muscle response. Which is one of the reasons why they work. It makes no difference if you take generic forms of either.

    Yesterday was cool, rainy and very dark. Main floor pellet stove on at 8 pm and ran a couple of times during the night.

    We fished for 8 hours in rain gear. Chilly and raw. Even the fishies weren't happy about it.

    Needed a few Irish coffees to get the chill off...........
