Two cart loads of black birch and one load of oak. That's all I could take today. I hope it stays dry and cool-ish this weekend. I really need to get on top of all the wood I have on the ground.. 20180621_154430.jpg 20180621_161404.jpg

We have nothing but rain for the last week. My stacks are soaking wet. Even have moss growing on the bark :headbang:.

mike bayerl Hope you made your weather window! I can see your having fun, what with tractors, trailers, small gas engines and hydraulics and all. AND you get to toast by the fire while the wind and snow blow outside come winter! metalcuttr

I got out of work early today and the weather held off pretty much. I got a solid 2 hrs of splitting and stacking in today an only got rained on a wee bit. It feels good to start to make a dent in my backlog.

Nice work Mike, I was doing the same this weekend. Slapped up two new racks to accomodate a nice score of Cherry I got last week and two Oak tree's (one red, one white) I dropped behind my house that have been sitting. Still have some limbs to dice up but I made great progress and just glad to get it off the ground! Now I gotta get em split soon!

You should feel fortunate that you don't live in the North West, then you would have moss growing on your back!

Finally broke out the splitter today and got some box elder split for shoulder season 20-21. I got about a third of a cord from one tree I bucked and stacked last summer. Temps were in the upper 80's in the pole barn where I stack the wood. At least I was splitting in the shade. This is one of 4 trailer loads.
