My want to try to straighten that handle or get a E-bay 3/4 wrap which is what I did and it seams to be pretty sweet.

Nice saw. If you decide to pert with the oem cylinder, many here would be interested, me included.

Better off adding a meteor piston and calling it a day.

2 stroke big bores are very different animals than their 4 stroke counterparts. They generally make less power than the smaller bore oem jug will.

They open the bore and leave the transfer tunnels the same. So even though there is more displacement, it can’t be fully filled to make more power.

fuelrod just an FYI, while I've never met drf255, I would put much value in his opinions on a saw..

Redfin I don't know. I've never had a Husq. and I am only somewhat familiar with today's model #'s. It looked (to my limited knowledge) like an early 80's saw, very "boxy" and a project that I just don't need. I have my 3 favorite "go too" saw's of different sizes from a MS200t to my 044, and have 2 or 3 that just are old and just sit needing a little love & attention. An old 041 farm boss, 028, and a 045 that are not old enough to be "cool", just old enough to be either slow or heavy or both as compared to newer saw's.
