I’m away for a few days in Center Parcs at Sherwood Forest, a for wife’s birthday and b recovering from a small op on my back to remove a mole ( 4 inch scar) These lodges have a small log burner but your only allowed to burn the compressed logs you buy at the site shop. £3.50 each or 4 for £10 obviously I bought 8 two a night , they do burn for 3 hours though. Thought I’d put two in to get glass clean with a decent fire, half hour later place stinks , don’t think it’s ever been this hot as folk don’t know how to use the vents properly. Almost dark so time to burn a single log
Thought you lived in the UK and not Australia or New Zealand... everything is upside down... looks like a good log to burn on our Independence Day...
We all do, aint we fellers? But sometimes an expensive fire is better than no fire i reckon Have a good one and i bet Jacky D aint far away to comfort your pain.
We stayed at a place in Washington state that had a log like that in the fireplace. If you lit up and burnt it, there was a new one in its place after they cleaned the room the next day. Only would give you one at a time, though. The log lasted quite a while.
Only taken me three days of burning , quick wipe without chemicals and I can enjoy a nice clean glass on my last night
