We actually did have hearing protection she didn’t have it on for the picture. She’s still a girl didn’t want picture with them on.
Log splitters are not loud unless you don't have a muffler. Although some engines are louder than others. The Briggs ohv engines are so much louder than a chonda or Honda is. How's that cart holding up/ working out for you? I'm sure you've already aired up the tires to spec, otherwise you'll pop the tube hauling big rounds like that. Ask me how I know . I'm sure yours has the same wheels and tires as mine.
You should wear ear protection any time the noise level goes above 85db. A typical small engine is 95db. You might not appreciate protecting your ears over the whole course of your life until you get older and start struggling with hearing loss. That pic looks posed. Like the engine isn't even running. Did she have to change her clothes and brush her hair too ?
Boy, it has to be nice having such a pretty helper. Treat her nice and keep her working! It's also great you're still getting that wood from the park. Now all you need to do is to set up that splitter in the right direction!
