My son is saving to buy an engagement ring and has sold 5 loads like this one so far, and this is first load. I’m helping, great way to really associate the value of something special. Second pic is the customer who now has some stacking to do.
I'd rather have the 5 loads of wood, it contains a lot more energy. But 23 year old me would likely prefer the diamond.
Tell the boy to start planting the "think outside the box" bug in her ear now! My wife's engagement ring has a sapphire for the main stone, and 3 small diamonds on each side. Saved me enough money that I bought her a $1500 pair of matching earrings...and could have bought her a lower end Rolex too, and STILL came out ahead! She picked it herself after a very gentle suggestion to check them out after the 37463373th diamond we looked at.
Sounds like Greg is one of those dads you really want to have as a helper. Nicely done. Good luck to the both of you!
I’ve met Greg & his dad, and as I’ve said before- top notch folks His boys are are no doubt following the life path that Greg and his wife have most definitely laid for them, and respectfully so. True
I thought maybe you’d found one in a round, with all that wood you’ve been hoarding lately. Nice work fellas! And happy birthday!
Thanks for the birthday wishes guys. The ring is a done deal design wise, so that part is decided. Proud of him, as he works for my arborist friend by day then has been splitting at night and on weekends. I bet when he turns 52 like me today Lord willing, he will glance at that ring and remember what he did to buy it. So today was a 1 2/3 cord load, and he is doing 5 more he hopes by two weekends from now. Supposed to be 94 here Monday so we will see. Could be time for night splitting again. My favorite!
