Thanks. Ive lived here since 97 and havent taken a day of it for granted. Its nice to look up from cutting to look at the scenery but with finding lots of black and grizz poop around Im a bit cautious. Im not paranoid about looking around but with ear protection and concentrating on what Im doing its easy to end up in my own little world and not pay attention to my surroundings.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. When any of us west coasters drive through your area, we don't get off the beaten track much to see the real scenery. Talk about weird temps, though. Month of May here was warmer than our usual summer temps. So far in June, it has been quite cold. Next week, I hear we are due for hot weather again. campinspecter is headed out this morning with sprinkles of rain. Hopefully it dries up quick.

Yeah honestly it would be more practical to have a get-together on a campsite here unless someone on this site has a rather large yard. With downed trees for some cutting fun and etc. It sure would be great to host a North West party so that a good selection of anyone in these parts would be comfortable. Either way...:handshake::thumbs:

I often wonder whats off the beaten track in areas that I drive through when I travel west to the coast. Its such a big area its hard to explore it all. Its nice here so far but were expecting some thunder showers. I wouldnt mind more rain though. With the exception of this last weekend its been to dry. campinspecter is heading out for firewood? Hope hes successful!

Great pictures as always Sean ! Gets me excited for my trip to Kelowna and Nelson next week. Can’t wait to take in the sights. It’s been over 10 years since I have been there.

It surely would be fantastic. It would be great if you could get to one of the get-togethers. I just returned from on out east. It was a super long drive but worth it. At our gtg, we've had a couple guys cover 800 miles one-way too.

You can bet if we get out there, we will stop.

I seem to recall us talking about your trips out here. I hope you have a great time! Kelowna is a nice place to visit during the warm season. I was in Nelson a few weeks back (May 24) man was it hot,,, 28c. Kootenay lake was quite high from a very heavy snow pack. I went for a walk in a park down by the water front mall, the trees and lawn seemed to be several feet under water. These are the only pics that I took that trip that arent more personal. Some of the neatest scenes of Nelson are the really old houses. Theres a cool coffee shop where we stopped for breakfast, it had a real nice outside garden where people lounged. I find it interesting how diverse the community is there, a real melting pot of society, quite neat actually. I grow fonder of Nelson each time I visit. I havent explored the bush around there for firewood opportunities but wood burning seems to be quite popular from what I could see from the chimneys and wood stacks.
