You could add a "crazy wheel" where your jack stand is similar to the the one in the photo Mike posted but without the tongue to support the weight. Notice how it this photo the wheel is offset to help it turn.

Then add a receiver to the back of the splitter to where you could slide in a removable tongue & pull it around from the back.

Don't forget the out feed tables & log lift. Once you have them you will wonder how you ever got by without them.

Good idea. Be sure that removable tongue has a vertical up-down pivot built in, so the splitter can roll on uneven ground without driving that tongue up and down too.

I've been looking for a caster wheel off a zero turn or mower deck to do just that. And would make it so I could pin the removeable tongue to either end of the splitter.

You can buy the assemblies but I'm pretty sure that's not the route you're looking to go. ;)

Look for the ones that use two tapered roller bearings instead of bushings.

Yeah I'd rather pay by the pound at the junkyard than list price at a dealer.

Very nice place! Has a rustic cabin look to it, which is what I like.

We will want to see pics of Emma running the splitter soon. I see she drives the 4 wheeler already.

Troy-bilt is one of the many brands of machinery made by MTD. One and the same for several years now.

Had to be. Only thing I see different is a little paint. That's how stuff has been marketed for a long time, isn't it? Nothing new.

Nice splitter Fanatical! How big of one did you go with? Looks like a good size. Enjoy!
