I just happen to be a little south of that tornado on that day. All the sirens were going off. No damage at my place since it is about 50 miles in the opposite direction.
So I take it you had no 'unexpected' beef on your grill that evening. I hate to think of cows flying around though, that must be a fu%%ed up thing for them, not like it lasts long.. but still. I wish the best for all of you in tornado alley, but I'm glad it's not me dealing with that.
Thanks Chaz, no worries, we're west of tornado alley, but we are near hail alley (Rocky Mountains weather meets the Great Plains weather patterns and collide....) It's so interesting to me, the weather has changed so much along the front range since the 1970's it almost makes me wonder except I tracked the weather of my greatgreatgrandfathers homestead since 1871, and also happened throughout the years for him too.
Wow! That is really terrible just thinking about the cows in the storm. We have some tornadoes in MI too but thankfully most of them are south of us. I have no use for summer storms... The worst about tornadoes too at least in MI is that most happen at night. We've had a few come fairly close to us and pray to God we never are in one. Thought we were going to be in one last summer and it is the first time we've ever taken cover; fortunately it did not come down.
