My cousin finally took down two Oaks earlier this spring. I was going to take them both, but that was last fall, and before I got busy. Well people had been scrounging up all the small pieces, and he had nobody to take the big pieces... so I get the rest... I should have two more trailer loads tomorrow. LoL... as I was finishing up quartering them up... I had a neighbor from a few blocks down (probably all got some of the small pieces) offered 1/2 for 1/2 for bringing his splitter down and helping me... .... cause my JD wouldn’t be big enough to load them... :D... thanks but no thanks my sweat is already on it...

Yep, my 044 with 28” bar did the work... on the second load all of those were quartered or halved... ran through almost two tanks... just tried to take key pictures as the temperatures were warming up....

Handled just fine, it knew it was back there... plus it’s only like 3 or 4 miles to there.... nope both trees where oak, one was a pin oak and the big one was like the one I got from him like two or three years ago... it’s an odd oak... that you don’t see all the time...

Thanks for the pictures. With the heat as it is here I can only imagine what it was like where you are. The pictures show the sweat. Nice work! Nice firewood!

Yes, it was warm enough to wipe me out... But last weekend was rain..... I was just fortunate to have help today to finish it up...

Its a good way to lose water or beer through perspiration... :D... Aint my number one choice, but it seems like when my chances come by...

Nah... My trailer was just too short...:emb: Borrowed my buddy and another friends trailer, so we could get it all in one load today :D... i.e. we could all go eat at noon... Locust Post ... has a good sayin' that I cant remember that would fit that situation...:dex:

Got some bigguns there for sure. Hard work, but beats the heck out of cutting a check to the oil man!
