Naw.....people have insurance. The prevention/cure for humans with limes is much more involved and costly!

Larry, I hope removing the collar solves the problem. Keep us posted buddy!

so far, no witnessed seizures today, and no bouts of incontinence. Gave him a tablespoon of hemp oil at breakfast. He is moving better this past week since putting him on hemp oil. poor old man, I know first hand what it is like having bad arthritis and the related discomfort. He hasn't been complaining about getting up. previously, he would resist getting up or moving. He is a very verbal dog so there usually isn't a problem figuring out what he wants. I feel just horrid about the seizures and that I may have caused it with the collar. So far, Molly is just fine with the collar.
update, no seizures seen today. 1800petmeds.com refunded my cost for two collars. I didn't request that, I stated what I had observed. Hate to see them take a hit for something not in their control.

There was a Lyme vac for humans back in the late 90s early 2000s, it was relatively effective, but a little undeserved bad press coupled with the modern anti vac movement taking off around that time and it tanked and the company took it off the market. Then the Lynne epidemic took off. There is a new vac for humans in the works but it is fairly early in the process and likely years till it is available

Keeping my fingers crossed. Max hasn't had a seizure since I took off the Seresto flea collar. He lost a bit of wt. during that month. Now is getting up and walking much better. Has started barking again while is an old habit he started when he first started showing his age. He has a happy expression on his face. I also feel the hemp oil has help so much. Nice to see him move better.

I really think reactions seem dog specific. I was taking care of my daughters toy poodle. I put the drops on her just the same as I did for all my dogs and cats. Her dog got real ill for several day. Had a history of seizures before this. I thought I had killed it, but it recovered. was also diabetic on daily insulin. Max is better, but it is early on. He is old for his age, but still very loveable.

Glad to hear Max is doing better Larry!

But I’d be LIVID if it turned out to be the collar that caused them! And I’m not even the one you’d have to worry about - Amy would be in a full blown Rampage, and you don’t want to be around when that happens!

Teddy has a real talent for catching his ball mid-air. I think if they played football, Bandit would be a linebacker and Teddy would be a wide receiver. :)

No more seizures seen. We had my daughter's dog over to visit. The excitement didn't do anything to set on a seizure. The other lab, Molly, still has her collar on and no side effects seen yet. Must have been too much for our old boy. Glad it was something I could take it off . Thank you for your caring concern. For a while, I was thinking it was all downhill. I'm embarrassed that I didn't think of it being the problem earlier.

Might also check and see if any new essential oils have been used at your place (if they're used). Some oils aren't so good for pets. Cats are usually more sensitive, but dogs can have issues too.

I did read an article on that. I have been using oils in a steamer thing for years. Never knew before it could make animals sick. No symptoms of sickness noted. I lots of different ones. My steamer is near the litter boxes. Dogs aren't allowed near there. Will be shutting that down for the summer soon. Don't want any more humidity.

Go thing Dewey has that leash holding him back or you might have had a hot dog on your K-bobs.
