damm, 3 times?? That's scary as ****, glad you're ok........fire can be so beautiful and useful, yet if it gets out of control it can destroy so much, so fast.......
I hope I don't hear of any more. As much as I hate the thought, the amount of fires hitting the news in such a short time span made us wonder if someone was going around deliberately starting them.......hard to say for sure.
Nephews graduating in 3 hours.. Time to hit the rain room.. Real proud of him, bachelor's from UVM, already accepted to masters program with scholarship and its paid for.. 6 years of school and only 15k in debt!! That's awesome
Sitting here waiting for it to warm up. Got most of the rest of the garden planted a couple days ago but our first planting is not doing well. Hoping for better. Will be no peaches this year as we did not have even one blossom. First for this to happen. Perhaps it is just one of those years when crops do not do well. It just seems to happen every now and then.
Environmental studies, area you kind of need masters.. interesting discussions where, me being a business major, recycling needs to be made more profitable so less goes in the landfills.
Just scored a free king sized log bed frame from a neighbor who had it on the curb. Sign read "free king sized bed or firewood" One of the support slats has cracked and needs reinforcing, otherwise it's in perfect condition. He tried to reinforce it with pine 1x. I'll use flat bar steel and make it gooder.
It was nice that the weather cleared in time, wasn't it? My mom got soaked at the 8:20am ceremony. My sister was in the arts & sciences dept graduation. I was shocked to see that there were more degrees given out for "Gender Studies & Women's Sexuality" than for history
Here's the stacks of wood that I split this weekend. Pine and balsam fir in the big pile, apple in the middle pile, and black walnut in the pile in the far right. The other angle... I have to replace a ram guide bolt, or 2 on the splitter. I snapped one off and bent the other. Oh well, they are sacrificial, much like shear pins on a snowblower. We purposely only put low grade bolts on these guides as a precaution. If you run an entire tank of gas out of the splitter by yourself, you are beat. I can say that. That will be easily a cord, if not a bit more.
I studied a broad in Germany, and studied gender and womens sexuality in college. I just didn't get a degree in that. Lol
