Got alot of stacking and splitting done and cleaned up the work area. Wife stacked the whole left side.

All day event CSS, started at 9:30 and just got out of the shower at 8:00. I usually start stacking the wood next to the small wall of BBQ wood and my wife was like why arent you starting behind the bbq wood and then you will gain 4 feet in width and 16 feet in depth. I was like wow thats a great idea. So now that big work area is easier to drop off rounds, or back the dump cart in an stack splits. My ultimate goal is to build off the old swingset and have a huge wood shed. Im towards the end of the basement apartment project for my daughter so once thats done I’ll have more time for the outside. Im comfortable with all that wood i just stacked its all well seasoned and thats the main pulling area for winter. I figure theres about 5 cords there. Ill be making another work area and stacking area down the hill because theres rounds everywhere. So it was a great day, im pretty excited.
It's great that you have space like that for stacking, plus room for rounds, a garden, and landscaping! Makes me want to move out into the woods, but I'm over my head in work as it is.
It is nice, but yup alot of work. Gotta open the pool this week. Thats s real money sucking headache at times. Well worth it though after s hard days work outside.
I agree. We've got an in ground. Every now and then my husband remarks on how much wood it would hold!
