Moving a pile of 3 year old maple and hickory, really nice stuff for being piled up. Very dry and barkless. Man I love this stuff
I like the little bit of a crib in there... Just couldn’t resist huh? Looks like a good spot for one on that other end... Nice lookin stacks!
That is some fine looking wood! Do you cut to a particular length? The splits look very regular in size.
Thank you, I can do up to 22” but most of those are 16 to 18, cut 3 years ago before I had my new stove.
I'm usually at the mercy of however my wood was butchered before hitting the dump, or Craigslist. So it's either cut to a set length and wind up with lots of short cutoffs, or try to average out. So my stacks look like 3D puzzles.
I left some maple stacked in the woods on the ground for a year and the termites were already in the pieces contacting the ground. How bad I won't know until I split it.
Nice. Looking at your pictures I'm betting your place has to be beautiful. For sure you'll never lack for rocks!
Ahh the granite state. The rocks seem to grow out of the ground. I could fill 30 yard dumpsters with the rocks I have in piles.
steep hollow, up top is an old RR bed.pic from my family room and pic from the rd. River runs from the hills under the rd and through my property. Ya No shortage of rocks around here.
It looks like you have a great spot there Woodwhore That's about the only thing I would change about where I live. If I could I would love to have some water running through like that. Unfortunately I'm on top of a hill and there's no water here. I do have a great view though. I guess you can't win them all
