    Prayers that your mom has a peaceful end of life. The hospice nurses, caregivers, and volunteers provide wonderful support, let them help you get through this along with your mom. I'll be thinking of you.

    You got it friend... Cancer is a terrible disease... But may God guide & give your Mother comfort in her final days, through the Dr.’s and nurse’s that administrate the care to her... May he also comfort the family and friends through this very difficult time...

    Frustrating Anger.
    According to experts at these things, that is a normal step. And you don't overcome a step, (on a ladder for example), by avoiding it; (not getting angry). You just step on it, thus allowing you to climb to the next step. Possibly worse, hopefully not. But, that's the only way to get to the end. The second to last step might be mourning. And then the last step: Joy. (hard to believe, I know). It may be many months or years away, but He's offered it to anyone willing to accept it.
    But for now, anger.
    Fine.

    Praying for you Beetle-Kill, I have been there and its not easy, take all the time you can with her. It seems like your not doing anything holding her hand, getting a glass of water. You won't regret it.

    Update: My back has gotten much better. Needless to say I took lots and lots of painkillers to get me through the gtg and it worked. Now I've cut back and yes, it hurts a lot but I'm still able to get some things done. Thank you all for the prayers. It does help.

    I did talk to two doctors this week about both my back and neck. There aren't too many directions we can go and they also agree that perhaps the biggest problem in my spine is still from the polio I had in my youth. I do remember when I was at the U of M and they told me I had the post-polio problem that is common and sad to say, pain is just one of the things we have to live with after polio. That is in addition to the bad discs and arthritis. So, we live with it but don't like it. I do discuss this with the Lord from time to time but so far I feel a bit like Paul with the thorn in his side.

    It just keeps coming. One of my command staff, whom was hired the same day as I, had a medical emergency in which she never recovered. Totally unexpected. The month of April cannot be over soon enough.

    My FIL had a quadruple by-pass surgery week before last.
    He came through the surgery good but is now having some depression issues.
    He has been my FIREWOOD partner for many years.
    Doctors say physically he is doing good lots of strength in his legs and arms.
    He just doesn't want to do!
    Please send a prayer his way!
