Had my 2nd one today. After some time in the coolidor, it seems to have improved. Looking forward to a few more months of improving!
Took two cigars for the drive today. Rocky Patel Ligero and a Mark Twain. Brought two cigars back today. Told you I was cutting back! Grabbed a cup of coffee and didn't have the urge to light one of those cigars. What's it mean? Am I officially healthy?
I've got some of these and some of these on the way! Hope I can keep my hands off them while they age. I had a series g maduro this spring that was a few years old.......man, was that one good. Kinda forgot about it in the coolidor. It did age very well and definitely was much better! Haven't had a cigar in awhile and I can tell I'm craving one now.....
Kinda went against my own "rules" but I couldn't wait! Just about right off the truck, I had and enjoyed this one yesterday. Very nice! Thought I could feel nicotine starting and would have put it out for later, but the never noticed any more at all. Seemed to be more mild-medium than medium, but whatever strength is is, very nice! Will repeat the purchase! The version I bought were Oliva 2nds series G. They were on sale for $30 a bundle....should have bought 2!
Nice report... I picked up a round of Sungrown RP before my trip to Dennis’s GTG last weekend... didn’t smoke it... but had several Nubs and versions of them (Cain & Diesel)...
Well, I finally broke down and ordered a box today. Free shipping with a lighter thrown in and a little bit of a sale. You know where to get them, but its only for one day! Holts.
My son in law gave me a Saint Luis Rey Reserva Especial Churchill cigar and I loved it, smooth as silk, no head buzz (smoked it to the last 1/2 inch) and a very good burn. Let me know what you think of the Ocean Clubs.
Had my first ocean club on Sat. I did not enjoy it. Reminded me of a regular RP Connecticut. I sure do hope again will help.
That's too bad, I do think the SLR cigar might be my only cigar I will ever buy again, it's hard to find the "perfect cigar".
That’s the thing about cigars... it’s not always the one cigar that is perfect... a lot of time it’s the environment of that cigar...
I do know that I have had macanudo cigars before where one smoked great and the next one was packed so tight and the draw so hard it was like trying suck through a pinched off straw.
All that and tastes are so subjective. And for cripes sake, we're talking about cutting down a field full of plants and trying to make them all consistent in taste!!!
I got stuck behind 2 different guys on my motorcycle that were smoking stogies while they were driving. That's about the closest I'll come to stogies. Then I passed them both.
I agree but I have had cigars (cheap ones in some cases) that smoked very well with a good flavor and they did it consistency. Been looking for a similar type for a while now as those are not available anymore. The SLR is the best one I have had in a long time
Yep I just had another the other day sitting on my new bench. That cats love hanging around. No complaints here.
Got out and cut some grass today. No wind, mid 70's and no bugs yet. Of course when done had to have another cigar.
