Daren has banned a lot of people from that site, and in the old days he made a lot of enemies doing that. It was rough and tumble there all the time. Also there have been a lot of forum hacking from South Asia lately, not just there. Daren posted several times in the VBulletin forum looking for help, but there was not been a lot of support for him there. They have revamped the ads on AS now and moved them to specific forums, so my guess is that the site has been down lately for a major remodel and new version of SW and anti-hacking effort. They had turned off the search engine there so all the search engine bots were not working there, so searches of AS were not coming up on Google searches.

Another competitor site, TreeWorld.info is gone now. Eric/Ekka the owner of that site was sued in his homeland of Oz and he decide to take the forum down completely. I would imagine that his site would have also been attacked if he had stayed up, as he also ran it with vBulletin.

It was back up yesterday with shiny new forum software -- been down all day again.

I just logged on over there and it seems to be up and running normally? NoScripts doesn't list LinkBucks...

Yep, now I'm picking it up on NoScripts.

But the site is working normally for me with the Firefox/NoScripts combo.

If you have to run Firefox with no scripts then AS is still jacked up. As long as it has been, I don't have much hope for a full recovery. Some of the sites these hackers have hacked have been permanently infected and no longer operate. For instance, if you try to access a site that was hacked last year you will still get the redxhacker signature.
