Yes its time to start cutting again, after a long and cold winter the wood stack must be filled again.
Got a nice little lot on the otherside of my property with lots of berch and some other trees. Busy with getting it all out and split , so it can dry in the summer sun!
Working on the 3year plan , not there yet but slowly i think it is comming my way!

    Have a nice day all!

Excellent that you are both refilling the stacks and working on the 3 year plan. Hope the bugs aren't bad yet.

Nice of you to come out of the woods Duvekot, hope those stoves of yours treated you warmly as you work hard for the heat.

Great pics!!! And great looking stacks. :) You have a very nice property!

I always wonder why it seems to me that the folks outside of the US and Canada, seem to have such smaller and shorter splits?

I understand the stoves can be smaller, but not sure why this is? And actually your splits are not that small, but others can be very short and small....

I think you'll find the average size house in Europe is about half the sq ft of houses in the US.
Asia and the UK are about one third the sq ft.

Yep, our 3 bed house (we're in SW England) is about 800 sq feet with a basement of about 350. I typically cut to less than one foot for our stove. :)
