Was able to get some work done outside today before it started raining. Now everything is all wet, again. Oh well. We have had a couple days where I was able to do stuff here and there. But between rain and work, production has been low. Hopefully the sun will start to come out more often soon.

The small stump pulling has resumed. I’ll save the larger ones for a rental machine. I have also started installing fence post for a pastur on higher ground for the horses. Give theses lower pastures behind our house a chance to regenerate. Still lots of clean up work to do from that wind storm we had a while back. Quite a few blow downs left to process.

    Little at a time.

We only have the one, but it blooms before the rhododendrons do, so it is a nice start to the spring. Glad that generator is working good. It will definitely make life easier for you.

My mom's birthday is on mother's day this year.

I need to do something for her. She doesn't need things though. Sure appreciates flowers that bloom all season. So I'll probably go that route again.

I foresee a half day of work, and a half day of scrounging in my future.

Time to wake up the family and start the circus.

Another awesome weather day. It is suppose to rain but so far it doesn't look like it. All my tulips are blooming and I didn't remember how many pink ones I had. I usually only buy orange or yellow. I don't think I have any yellow ones showing this year. Did I mention how disappointed I was that the snowdrops didn't bloom? I thought they were still recovering from the deer eating them. Well, they weren't snowdrops. I have oodles of grape hyacinths instead and for some reason a lot of them are white. My columbines are really coming along. They have seeded themselves all over the small garden.

Typically at this time of the year the apples blossoms are almost ready to pop out. Nothing showing yet. We got a nice rain yesterday morning and another one overnight. This will help green things up.

The wind just hit. I suspect we'll be out of power again very soon. Expecting winds up to 50 mph today. That ought to bring down a few trees.

Work is almost done for the week. Trying figure out how I'm going to get everything done this weekend. Got to get the garden planted, kill a turkey, take the kids to tennis practice, drive to my uncle's house and help him plant an acre of taters, get to church, visit my parents, go grocery shopping, and probably a few other things I'm not thinking of right now.

My peach and pear trees bloomed hard last week, cherry tree this week, and apples should hit full bloom this week.

Wind has been over 50 mph and amazingly we are not out of power. Many are in the state though.

There was a front came through here about an hour ago....probably 60-70 MPH wind for a minute...rained like heck too! It took the top out of a dead Oak tree at work...I've had that tree in my sights to drop for a while, but now being 50% as tall as it was before will make it easy to keep from getting hung up in other trees...and safer too...its been dead for a while already, occasionally drops a limb...and I was getting a lil worried about getting a limb dropped on me when I got to cutting it down.
