Send that heat my way please! Atleast the forecast is down to 1-3" of snow tonight, but still colder.

Backwoods Savage Gurneys' just notified me tonight via email they shipped my strawberries today.

My wife turned on the AC this afternoon. It got up to 86°, like 3° from a record. Only 2 weeks ago, it was snowing here. Crazy

We had our week of summer last week so now the lilacs are ready to bloom, tulips are all blooming and it looks like I might get blooms on the rhododendron this year.

We had a mountain laurel bloom today. The first thing we’ve seen with color this spring. It almost looked out of place.

I kept the house closed up yesterday, but with solar gain and everyone not being concerned about closing doors quick, it got.up to 75 in the house by last night. As soon as the temps started falling I opened every window and it was a nice comfortable nights sleep. First of the year with the windows open.

I forgot just how loud the birds are at dawn. Its literally almost deafening they're so loud in comparison to the lack of any other noise.

I had every window closed and all the shades and drapes closed. I think it was 76* on the main floor when I got home (or maybe 75 - same as you). Felt good to me but I'd just been riding in 88* :). It didn't cool down outside until after I went to bed but I did open the windows over the kitchen sink. Was 72* in the house when I got up - no birds singing since I get to work before dawn.

I miss being at home some times..My parents home that is. Living in the country had its perks! LOTS of birds especially in the spring and summer months.

Our walks in the mornings are at dawn now and yes, the birds are quite vocal at that time. We have very vocal Canada geese that are on the move at that time too.

Windows still open; peepers at night, birds in morning. Spring is especially sweet after a long winter:D.

Well, we got power before the estimated time and now we found out there is no change of power when the switch is made back to line as computer was on and never made a blip. Everything seemed to work great.

Vertigo is not all gone yet but not bad at all so long as I am vertical. Lay down and it goes berserk. It will pass.

I'll be that was an eye opener when you started the vacuum!

Ours got in the ground yesterday and this morning we got a nice little rain. That should give them a boost.

Now wife has to take it easy from all that bending doing the planting. It was funny though as the neighbor's dog came over to check her out as he couldn't figure out why she was standing that way.

We surely wish we had those here. I had never seen any until one year we took the Blue Ridge Parkway south and found lots of them. Beautiful they are.

The talk about birds in the morning brought back memories of our gtg. Folks got to see and hear geese, sandhill crance, owls, etc. Some had never seen sandhill cranes and one morning some flew right over us and were very low. Lovely sight and sound. They also heard amny owls and coyotes at night. That was really nice for those who don't usually experience this. Made us very happy.

It's great isn't it? I dont get the cranes here, but we have loons, which are my favorite to listen to at night.
