I have a Husqvarna (you can own a Stihl) Hard hat with face shield (screen) and ear muffs.

I wore it twice for a total of an hour (2 yrs ago). I now have my logs brought in. So felling still happens, but normally under very controlled conditions.

    As for the Winner

There still is no perfect way of picking someone? So I will talk it over with the other mods in coming days.

(Maybe we all can pick a number from 1 to whatever the post count is? And take the average from the 5 of us?? The person who seems to need it more? Sincerity? Puppy dog eyes? :), etc)

    Anyways, here it is...

If you need PPE to stay safe while felling, and/or bucking? Then please post to get in on it. It's a free helmet, free shipping.. I just ask that one day? You pay it forward. Whether to your neighbor, your friend, or a perfect stranger.

I am in the market for a new one, mine has several cracks and the ear muffs are broke off. I'm not exactly needy, maybe we could work something out. As clumsy as I am I really need to wear one.

No need to work anything out. Its free. For whomever posts in here. We will somehow randomly select a post and the person who posted there wins. If it was a post # that was a random comment? Then, we will select another.

    Free Helmet, Free Shipping.

All I ask is that the person really want it.

I cut log loads most of the time. I have a regular hard hat I wear for other cutting and use regular plugs, and safety glasses.

Put me in. Been needing to get one, the bandana doesn't provide much protection.

You're the man, Dex. Free safety equipment with the only hitch being to pay it forward. Hope that spirit is catching on, and on .......
My cutting days are about done. Everyone should live long enough to be able to say the same.

Thanks Saves.. We want people to be a safe as possible. I no longer need it, so I would rather see it go to a good home where it will serve its purpose and protect someone who otherwise? May wear no protection at all.

This covers the eyes, head, and ears (this is a big one for me! You should always wear hearing protection).

I see a lot more threads like this in the future :)

I wear ears but not a helmet or eyes. I know I need eyes as ever so often I get apece of debris n them, that's when I think about.
