    Over relatives tonight and we had popcorn with maple pepper on it. It is made from maple sugar, sea salt and pepper. This is real tasty and should be good on steaks, eggs, and other meats. Just passing it on.

    They have this with garlic, habanero and a few more flavors.

    I would try that. :popcorn::grizz:

    Edit: i really think this would be good on salmon. I found a local supplier of a similar product here in Ontario. Home

    This was purchased at Polly's Pancake in Sugar Hill, NH. I might have to grab some in a few weeks.

    Sounds like an interesting product.

    I wonder how the sugar in the market syrup is removed. Zero sugars and calories sound dubious.

    I don’t think it is removed... I just think the amount is so minuscule per 1/4 teaspoon serving that they are able to round down to zero grams.. The carbohydrates are listed as one gram which should be predominantly the sugar.. looks like they are required to report the sodium in milligrams.. the total carbohydrates might need to be labeled as “less than one gram” per the rules below.

    I agree about the salmon whole heartedly! Salmon can really benefit paired with a sweet rub/seasoning or smoking with a sweet brine.
