I just bought a poulan 2175 for $20, why? Cause it was $20. Guy said it do sent oil. Hoping the bar hole just needs to be cleaned. The fuel cap takes he man strength to get on. The air filter needs replacing. Bar never flipped and just a tad of paint gone, probably from him running it hot from lack of oil??? 135ish psi. Cranked third pull or so. Need to turn idle speed up or adjust L jet as it isles a bit low but runs fine otherwise. Needs chain sharpened but looks complete.
The saw bottom looked awfully oily. So I was pretty sure it was just crap in the bar. Even when I saw it, did not tell the seller than when he asked if I knee anything about them. I said there is a gear in there and you gotta take all this stuff off to get to it. Looking at the wear on the saw I bet it doesnt have many hours on it. Pulled the bar and the holes were pretty plugged. And started it up and see oil pouring from the oiler hole!
There, there Clemsonfor. This is the right place for those if us with CAD. I myself purchased an 028 super on the bay just today. She'll sit right next to my other 028 WB, which I think to be the 47cc but was told 43cc by some guy. I don't believe him.
Jeez for 2o bucks I'd run the chit outta that thing just to see how much wood I could cut before it blew up!
I'm thinking about cleaning it off and throwing it back up for $60. Maybe wait till sept/oct when the green wood burners hit the wood in full force.
Not me, I've been cured after extensive gene transfer therapy, intervention counseling, and personal reflection! I'll never CAD another one again! Now of course there is that new 241 out there, and my 024 is running kind of tired ........................
