we have had 3 nice days of sun,one day hotter then in 1949. great you think now its cooling down we never have a week of sun over here. i can see summer being a wash out, last year we had 3 days of very hot sun, and that was our summer.hope you have a good one,
I watch a fair amount of BBC programming...a sunny day over there really does seem to be a rarity. I suppose it's a trade-off for relatively mild winters? Getting sunshine here, but still chilly. Things are beginning to green up very rapidly.
Drove home in snow flurries late Thursday afternoon. Still waiting for spring - which is supposedly going to start today. Lots of wind though so will feel cooler than we would like.

Dave you are somewhat familiar with southern MI weather and we're now on our 5th day in a row of relatively warm weather with today being really warm at 71. Some rain tomorrow then back in the 50's but we've really been waiting for this. I haven't been out lately but suspect farmers might be out working ground today; at least that ground that is dry enough.
A few fields are and have been plowed around me, pretty mushy yet, sure makes a mess of the suv or truck because of the spin off all over the roads.
dennis, its cooling down again now, the ground is still wet after all the rain we have had, one farm i shoot on was out the week end ripping it up to dry it out,its coming in wet again,so dont know if he will drill spring corn this week.
All kinds of wet here. Some of the high fields got corn planted this week, but I have a feeling most of the low ones will be lucky to get a crop of beans planted by the time they dry out.
