    Best firewood imo. Takes a little longer to dry out but we’ll worth it

    Smells like whiskey barrels cause that’s what they use I believe

    My Wildlife Professor told our class one day that white oak acorns to deer are like lays potato chips to us.....can't just eat one!

    In my limited time hoarding I have come to the conclusion that there is not much out there heavier than fresh cut oak rounds....

    That's first hard mast crop that drops here in mid-late September. My game camera gets full of does nosing around for the first fattening of the season under another big white oak ~100yds from the front porch

    They certainly do have a lot of water weight but hickory and black locust are heavier in my opinion.

    Beech. I love to burn it, hate to process it due to weight and twisty grain. I've wrasled some very heavy Hickory as well.

    True that. Bourbon by law must be aged only in new charred oak barrels.
