My dad and a neighbor were cutting a bunch of wood for an elderly guy on their street. The elderly guy thought he would be helpful and gas up one of their saws while it was just sitting on the tailgate. Did the same thing.

I straight gassed my saw last spring . It was my first cutting after the winter, I was excited to get out, but only had about two hours to get done what I needed, so I was feeling a bit rushed. I went through a full tank I think before it registered. The saw still runs a year later. I’m sure it’s not perfect, but it cuts for now. At some point a tear down may be needed, but I’ll run as is until then. Luckily there is a second saw in the garage along with it.

A neighbor needed to borrow some gas today for her old Blazer (OMG she has an immaculate loaded down 1988  ), we looked inside and tried to smell each of WWW's several gas cans to determine which was which. Ya, we had to wait til he was in cell service area to call him to make sure there was not chainsaw or whatever additives premixed :emb: Green cans are diesel, red cans are high non ethanol unleaded. No bar oil in any

There's usually enough leftover oil in the crankcase for a bit. You may have caught it just in time.

A little premix in any 4 stroke won't hurt it.

    Ok.

I'll bring in a hooska-varniaaa with a glow plug in it filled with lamp oil in the gas tank, peanut butter in the oil tank, the chain on backwards, bubble gum in place of a bar nut, and a fart muffler from a lowered civic as a muff mod.

You would have to post pics.

Full disclosure...Many years ago, I rented a big azz tiller, and when it ran out of gas, I accidentally poured gas into the hydraulic fluid reservoir!! OOPS

I'm guilty for bar oil in the gas, more than once unfortunately. A couple of echo's I frequently use together are opposite of each other.
Nephew poured a couple of gallons of gas in the radiator of my old case tractor once.

One of my workmates son, recently put petrol (gas) in his fathers diesel ute (truck) and drove it home before he realised something was wrong! Luckily they only live a little over a mile from the gas station, and it appears no permanent damage was done. Now I have 10 gallons of a gas/diesel shandy sitting in the shed.

It makes me smile and reminds me of my mom, who was blue green color blind, and could not touch anything electronic or it would literally die, watches, computers whatever. Had no clue about a car, did not even know how to pop the hood. In her her defense she didn't really have to. She had three brothers a father who was a mechanic, Master Plumber and electrician and four Sons.
She was a wonderful woman, and could grow flowers vegetables and kids. She would have been fine in 1800 s. You are cherished WW.

Actually it was a junker I'd bought. Cooling system was empty, I told him to put some gas in and we'll see if she starts.......he put the gas in but no go.....

several years ago my son straight gassed my 25+ year old hedge clipper. Ran a whole tank through it. I told him to fill it with mixed gas and see if he could finish clipping. I went in the house and told my wife what happened and got her blessings for a new one. So I'm in her office looking on line trying to decide on which NEW clippers I'll get. He then proceeded to finish ours AND both neighbors hedges. The government rescinded the blessings....
